The XIVth exhibition-contest of students' fine art works Sessio-Art was held on April 22 in Vitebsk Culture&Business Center “KIM”. Among the members of the board of experts who estimated the works submitted were:

Mikhail Borozna , pro-rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.

Galina Kazarnovskaya , head of sub-faculty of design of the Vitebsk State Technologic University , Vitebsk

Nickolay Gugnin , head of sub-faculty of fine arts of Vitebsk State University .

Osvalds Zveisalnieks , professor of Latvian Academy of Arts

There were a lot of interesting ideas, but in some cases their authors lacked mastery to embody their creative thought good enough so that it worked up, said Osvald Zveisalnieks, professor of Latvian Academy of Arts. He was impressed with a great popularity of the action. “I have never seen so many people attending an art event anywhere except for Vitebsk ”, Mr. Zveisalnieks said.

This year the Sessio Art was bright, original and cheerful, an air of depression which could be seen last years gradually fainted, said Nicholay Pogranovsky, a chairman of board of experts.
